My name is Chuck Wolfe. I started playing guitar some 25 years ago. After a few months of dedicated practice, I joined my first band with some high school buddies from the far west side of Columbus. It lasted about a year before I moved on to several other bands throughout the eighties. In the meantime, I was asked by local guitarist, Steve Mitchell to take on some guitar teaching gig at Coyle Music to handle his overflow of 20 plus students. That gig helped me extremely in honing my talents through the mid to late eighties. The early nineties took me to L.A. where I lived and played for awhile with Liz Sabine, renownned vocal caoch. Moving back to Columbus in late 1993, I formed an all original band called Hilljack with former Salty Dog bass player, Michael Hannon and drummer Keith Pickens. Hilljack recorded and released a full length cd in 1997. Sales were close to 2000 discs, sold mostly at live gigs. We then began to record music for the second disc before parting ways in 2000. (http://www.sumthinfierce.com/Hilljack.html) I was then immediately approached and hired by Eric Moore for a postion in The Godz, where I continued to write my original music and lyrics. That lasted a couple years before moving on to play in Prime Suspects, a six man cover band, with the best vocals around just to keep alive. With the help of Sam McKnney, vocalist and sound engineer, I started recording some of my material. The two songs on this page are written by me, recorded and produced at my house by Sam McKinney and myself. "Nobody Rides For Free" features Sam McKinney on lead vocals and drum programs. "Just Do It' features Chuck Oney on lead vocals and bass with Sam and myself on back-ups. I play guitar on both songs.
