The name HILLJACK comes from a Central PA Dutch "slang" which means "Blue Collar Guy" or
just a "Regular Guy" (The Average Joe). Do not be mistaken however, the band actually is from
the Midwestern city of Columbus, Ohio. While they hail from points West of Pennsylvania, Hill- jack
has been very busy making our Keystone state one of their main stomping grounds. Central PA was
the first area that the band played Headline shows, back in June of 1996. In the Spring of 1997,
HILLJACK returned with a brand new debut CD, along with PACKED HOUSES in the Sunbury and
Middleburg areas. Now they are filming Live Concert footage for a Video release in the near future.
Again HILLJACK will include Pennsylvania Fans in their musical plans. In case you are wondering
who are HILLJACK and what kind of music do they play, here are the answers. HILLJACK is a 3-piece
musical army consisting of:
* MICHAEL HANNON-The voice and Bassist of the band. Michael previously played with GEFFEN Recording
Artist "SALTY DOG" which sold over 300,000 units back in 1990. He also toured with "DANGEROUS TOYS"
as their bassist on the 200 date "Pissed" Tour which took place in 1994-95.
* CHUCK WOLFE-The Guitarist of the band. Chuck is one of the USA'S most talented Guitarists. Unknown
to many, Chuck used to play in a band with Mark Chatfield, who is currently BOB SEGER'S Lead Guitarist.
* KEITH PICKENS-Occupying the Drum Throne for HILLJACK, Keith has been touring for over 10 years,
plays a 4-piece drum set that will sound like an Earthquake is happening.
HILLJACK'S music is probably best described as some "Alice Cooper", "George Thorogood","AC/DC",
& "Budweiser" all rolled up into one HELL of a PARTY!
